What is da Vinci robotic surgery?
The da Vinci robotic surgery system is a state-of-the-art approach to surgery that uses smaller incisions, smaller instruments, and enhanced visualization to reduce stress and trauma during an operation.
Traditional open surgery requires that the surgeon cut through large swathes of skin and muscle to visualize and repair organs. With da Vinci robotic surgery, your provider only needs to make a few small incisions through which they insert a camera and tiny, flexible surgical instruments.
The da Vinci robotic system is much less invasive than both traditional open surgery and earlier versions of laparoscopic surgery due to the small size of the instruments and enhanced visualization.
How does the da Vinci robotic surgery system work?
